What is a good plan for becoming a helicopter pilot?

It's something I've only just begun thinking about and just started researching. What's a good plan for becoming a pilot? Do you have a recommendations for a good school near Jacksonville Florida? I've read that the average cost is anywhere from 50,000 - 65,000 is this accurate? Also, what would the employment rate be? Would I be struggling to find a job or are jobs readily available for pilots? Any and all information you can give me will be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much.
