The best way to start would be either to join the Air Cadets in your area. Or contact the nearest (small plane) airfield where you can usually get flying lessons. From there, you can get your private licence. And from there you accumulate hours of flying time, then you go from small engines to bigger and bigger planes. A lot of commercial pilots (if not most of them) have gone through the military (Air Force, of course).
