Where can i find cute, cheap vintage clothing?

i wanna update my clothing and love the vintage feel. ive read to go to thrift stores but the clothes arent always my size, cute, or just what i was looking for. maybe im not looking in the right places in thrift stores? idk. please helppppp :)
