What's wrong with my mom?

My mom yells at me because I don't like the thrift store (used clothing store). I don't like it because it smells bad most of the time, the clothes are all for old people and name brands like aeropostale, and has nothing I like. I don't like name brands like Aeropostale, and she does not understand that. I like Hottopic and being different and not being like every other girl. What should I do?
