Looking for a book called "Girl"?

I remember that the girl lives in washington or oregon. Lost her virginity on a dock while camping. Liked a guy who had dreadlocks. She wore a dress with cows on in. Another character was a girl with hair that was the color of rust and was always smoking. The story was set somewhat in the grunge scene of music. The girl shopped at thrift stores. I can't remember the name of the author or if the title of the book "Girl" is even correct. If any of this rings any bells I'd love to know the name of the author or book. Thanks
