Do you think a good deed done by an atheist is as good as the same deed done for/because of God?

You don't have to tell them your an atheist, to start off because that is A. none of their business and B.it has nothing to do with the work your trying to do for others. I think any good deed done, is just a good deed, even if it's for/ because god, or for the needy. To answer your question no i don't think they would care if you don't believe in god, because at this point god has nothing to do with helping those people your efforts do, By the way THANK YOU for helping people in need, it's people like you who really help change the world.
