Question on South Miami. PLEASE HELP!?

I might be moving to South Miami, is it a nice area? Is it good for a family? Is it expensive? How is the high school as I will be a freshman who is at the top of his class at an outstanding school in the Northeast? Is there anyway I could attend Coral Gables Senior High School, Miami Killian Senior High School, Miami Palmetto High School, or any other great schools? How good is South Miami Senior High School? Are there any job opportunities here by the way? How snobby/ wealthy is this area? Is there stuff to do? Sorry for all of these questions I am a bit nervous.
