Getting started as a pilot?

Yes, start with a PPL. I don't recommend a degree in aeronautics (professional piloting) because if you cannot fly for some reason (health, family, personal reasons etc) it is a useless degree for finding decent employment. At only 5'2', you aren't a military pilot candidate, therefore you'll have to go the expensive civilian route. Start with getting your PPL then go from there. There are many books and websites on how to become a professional pilot, but you need an idea of what type of pilot you want to be.
