Could they fire me for this?

I work at a thrift store and usually I come prepared but yesterday I wore a shirt that smelled majorly. I was embarrassed to go through work stinking and so I grabbed a used sweater from the floor and wore it the whole day and then hung it back up inside the store before I left for the day. I've seen other employees do it but I don't know if it is grounds for termination or not. I'm scared.
