Does playing FireRed make Red boring?

I've played FireRed and just bought a gameboy color for cheap at a thrift store. I was wondering if i should buy one of the original games (Red/Blue/Yellow). But I've already played their remake, so will they be boring since I've technically "played" them already? (same goes for heartgold vs gold)
