Book Report On A True story for my 11 year old GIRL?

Hi i know someone who is 11 and has a book report.The book hast to be a true story.She is in to books like the clique seris and the monster high serise and basicly any book that is by lisi harrison or has somthing about true love like flipped or the last song.She is also into books about orphan girls like Anne Of Green Gables.So my question is can you help me find a book for her that has somthing to do with orphans or cliques or heart touching story that is a true story.And please make sure its not scary or inappropreate but yet is suitible for an 11 12 or 13 year old
